Fanny Balian is the author of several books, including Pensées débusquées (poetry) and L’Arménien du Roi-Soleil, (The Armenian of The Sun King, The Destiny of an Oriental at the service of the East India Compagny) which won the Prize for Best biography.

After philosophy’s masters, she is doing a PhD (EHESS) on Armenian diasporas in the seventeenth century. She was awarded the Best Academic Renewal and has been the recipient of numerous university mobility grants (Ecole Française de Rome, Gulbenkian Foundation, Institut Français d’Iran, Réseau Franco-néerlandais).
