He cut his teeth working for his father’s company Diamond Cutters Antwerp for whom he not only traded but also established manufacturing units in Belgium and China. 11 years later, he joined Rosy Blue NV when Rosy Blue acquired Diamond Cutters Antwerp, a testament to the growth Raj achieved in just over a decade.

Under Raj’s leadership, Rosy Blue NV’s polished diamond division has evolved to a more demand-driven and customer-focussed enterprise and continues to do so today. Part of that evolution has been to take a longer term and strategic view of the business. This includes the recognition of and commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.

The commitment is for the benefit of not only Rosy Blue but also their diverse stakeholders including the entire diamond jewellery sector. As such, Raj has been actively engaged in platforms such as the SDG Taskforce by Responsible Jewellery Council, Watches and Jewellery Initiative 2030, just to name a few.
